Unregistered Land

<p>Morning Adam,</p> <p>sorry to bother you, I&#160;wondered if you would be able to help? We were informed by our solicitor&#160;on Wednesday last week that Land Registry need another survey done by OS to check the land involved in the adverse possession.</p> <p>The solicitor was informed that both neighbours and us had been written to and I assume this is with a view to booking the surveyors visit. She included a link for us which we returned to Ordnance Survey immediately, but to date neither neighbour has received any correspondence. I remember&#160;the last time, the letter was sent first class and arrived 2 days after it was sent. Morning Adam,<br> Would you please be able to check if all the survey requests have actually been received? Other than the automated reply to the link we haven't heard from OS about the survey yet and last time they were in contact within 2 days, the requests from us and the two neighbours were all submitted via that link on Tuesday 18th June<br> (K52644 K519480 &amp; K650326)<br> Also for the information of the case officer Mr Ian P Jones to date none of the letters sent out on the 18th June have been received<br> Kind regards<br> Sally&#160;

Morning Sally - we don't track the OS service so can't check as to what actions they are taking re the site visit<br> Noted re non-receipt of letters as issued although the delay may simply be down to the postal speed as 1st class is not always as quick as perhaps the days gone by - I'll share your comments with the casework team though but do let me know if the letters arrive today/weekend also&#160;<br> If they have all used the OS link to make the arrangements then delayed receipt of the letters won't stop the process.<br> K526244&#160;

<p>Hi Adam,</p> <p>Many thanks for the reply, they all used the link and have had the confirmation email, I’ll chase OS, they were helpful last time&#128522; Please be kind enough to let Mr Ian P Jones know that we are trying to sort this as quickly as possible, as we are very aware he is doing the same from his end.</p> <p>I will let you know as and when any one gets a letter about it. ironically our usual postman was on leave last week and we know for a fact&#160;that there was no cover for him at the end of the week, ie about&#160;the time the letters should have arrived, a rough guess would be there is a bag of mail somewhere. fortunately our postman is a very helpful guy and he’s on the case for us.&#160;</p> <p>kind regards&#160;</p> <p>Sally&#160;</p> <p></p>

<p>Hi Adam,</p> <p>Just so you’re aware, the three letters arrived in the post today, dated 18th June, I remember from&#160;before duplicate letters were sent out&#160;for the last survey, so I have no idea if these are the originals or the second lot. Good Morning Adam,<br> I wonder if it would be possible to clarify something for me? As you have hopefully seen from the message I put on here yesterday, the request letters to arrange the survey have arrived.&#160;<br> There is some confusion regarding an additional letter that may or may not have been sent to Mr Mark Burton, The Grange K519480.<br> Would you be able to ascertain if a letter has been sent to him asking if he has any objection to the adverse possession?&#160;<br> if so when was it posted and would it have been first class. Sally - I'm not aware of any corres to date being issued to the owner of&#160;K519480

<p>Morning Adam,</p> <p>I have contacted Ordnance Survey for an update on the requested survey of the boundaries. Sally - it seems the survey report is in and the case is on referral to senior officer to decide on next steps as appropriate<br> K526244

Sally - can I just check that your understanding on the ground is that both surveys have been completed. There was a first survey request and completed by OS but there was a second one required as per letters issued on 18th June.&#160;<br> I'd suggest double-checking with OS as we don't have that second survey report as yet and there may have been delays as access would have been required this time<br> &#160;

<p>Hi Adam,</p> <p>Oh dear, that doesn’t sound good. I wonder if OS have misunderstood, we were told they had until 11th July, there is no way they could get access to the Grange without us, as its gated and padlocked, we have the access codes required and that was stated on the form the Granges owner returned vis that OS&#160;link.
