- zoom in up to 400% without the text spilling off the screen

Technical information about this website’s accessibility
HM Land Registry is committed to making its website accessible, in accordance with the Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) (No. 2) Accessibility Regulations 2018.
Compliance status
The website has been tested against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standard.
This website is partially compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.2 AA standard, due to the non-compliances and exemptions listed below.
Non-accessible content
The content listed below is non-accessible for the following reasons.
Non-compliance with the accessibility regulations
- The back link is not always in the same place on the page. On the first page it is on the top left corner and on the other pages it is a button on the bottom left of the page. This fails WCAG 2.2 succession criterion 3.2.3 Consistent Navigation (AA).
We have some limitations with the platform we use. It does not allow a back button on the first page of the contact form so we need to use a back link instead. We could remove the back link from the first page to create consistency but this would remove the option to navigate to the previous page.
We cannot fix this issue yet but we will regularly review options to make this compliant.
Disproportionate burden
There are no features in this service that are a disproportionate burden.
What we’re doing to improve accessibility
We’re continually improving this service and will update this statement when anything changes.
