Change the name on the proprietorship register to the new owner's name


If you want to change the owner of the property, you must transfer the property to them. Read the guidance on transferring ownership of your property.

Documents you need to send

To transfer the whole property to new owners, you'll need to send:

  • form AP1- Change the register there is also a “YouTube” video on completion of AP1 which may assist you
  • form TR1 - Registered title(s): whole transfer there is also a "YouTube" video on completion of TR1 which may assist you.
To transfer part of the property, for example, part of the garden, you'll need to send:
