Expedited Assent Application - Update Request

Hi Land Registry Team

My solicitors supposedly submitted a request to expedite an 'assent' application for the following Title Number EGL527287. 
I believe the expedite request was made around the 12th December. 

Can I please request an update as to when we can expect this to be completed? I am currently in the midst of taking on a probate property from a late family member and the existing lender is no longer being patient. We require the assent to be completed before I am able to complete the mortgage to redeem the existing lender. 

Appreciate any help here as this process has been outstanding for nearly 6 months and interest on the loan is accruing exponentially at the lender's extortionate variable rate and I worry my mortgage offer will not be sufficient enough to cover the balance if this is not completed soon.

Hi Soraya - the application against that title was submitted on 6th January, expedited and partially processed yesterday. Unfortunately we need more from the conveyancer and they were contacted yesterday with the request.
The Transfer was dated 12th December so completed on that date but nothing lodged until 6th January
You'll need to contact them to confirm the above and what has been requested. Hopefully they can also clarify when they hope to respond.

Hi, thank you for the response. 

The assent request is the first step of a two step process. The plan as the next step is to submit a transfer of equity request so the property is held in both mine and my spouse's name. 
Do you know if we are able to now submit the transfer of equity request (step 2), given the assent completed on the 12th December. Or must we wait for for the application of the title to be fully processed?

Soraya - there is no need to wait from a registration perspective before submitting your second application/transfer as appropriate
