Application of Form A restriction on severance of joint tenancy

Hi,

Please can I get an update on my applications to sever joint tenancy on 2 properties. The applications were submitted on 19th June 2023 and so its been 7 months now.

Are you able to tell me how much longer it is going to take and whether it is possible to expedite this type of application?

Hi Jaimin - The applications are awaiting to be looked. 

It is not possible to predict when exactly they may be looked, but if there is any urgency then I request for expedite can be made - https://www.gov.uk/guidance/request-an-expedite

The 'Request for Expedite' have now been submitted by my solicitor for both properties. Please can you check these have been received and whether these requests to expedite have been approved?

Jaimin -  The applications have been approved for expedite and we have started to process them.  However, we are not in a position to complete the applications until a query has been resolved by the firm who submitted them.

I believe the firm who made the applications have answered the query about 2 weeks ago. Can you please check my applications and confirm if they have been completed now or if there is still anything else holding them up?

Hi Jaimin - they did respond but it wasn't sufficient and we replied on 5th Feb to explain why. We await their further response

Hi Jaimin - NGL844852 was submitted 13th Feb and processed. They have replied to the request and it's now waiting to be reconsidered
EGL429962 has been completed and the register updated
