Regarding title SGL60790
Having spent several thousand pounds for a lease extension, my solicitor has gone silent and his company appears to have gone bust.
Please can you advise if there are any applications in progress for this title.
If so, please advise the date on which it was submitted.
Thank you.

Joan - there are no applications pending against that title. If the solicitor has ceased trading then I'd suggest contacting the SRA - SRA | Find out if a firm has been closed down by the SRA | Solicitors Regulation Authority

Many thanks Adam for your speedy reply. Sad news for me, "Oh no" is my (publishable) thought.

However, perhaps there is one thing that may save my day:
Although it now appears that the original, signed, updated lease is probably lost, I do hold an electronic copy (PDF) of this signed original.

Please can you advise:

a) Will the Land Registry accept this electronic copy of the original (printout or PDF file) for the purposes of registering the updated lease?

b) If so,  am I allowed to send this electronic copy to the Land Registry myself, or must I engage another solicitor to do this on my behalf?

Thanks

Joan - we won't know if it is acceptable until an actual application is submitted. If you apply for yourself then it won't be accepted as we will request the original and signed deed.
I would recommend you do seek and appoint a conveyancer to act for you
