My mum recently died and I inherited her house. Probate has been granted. My brother lent my parents money to pay off their mortgage so there is now a charge on the house. Does this change how I register the house in my name? Do i have to include it on the form somehow?
He has agreed to give me time to pay off the amount.

Elizabeth - If there is a restriction on the title in favour of the charge by your brother, then we would require a consent from your brother to the title being registered in your name. If there is no restriction, and the charge is remaining on the title, then you do not need to do anything more about it at this stage. If the charge is being removed, then we would need an application for discharge in form DS1 accompanied with a form ID1 for your brother.
I hope this helps.
