Dear HM Land Registry
I submitted two applications (one needed for my mother's probate, and one for purchase of a parcel of land behind our house) in January.  They were submitted by post so I don't have any tracking reference number or acknowledgement of the applications.

This is now causing some issues as we need to sell the house asap.

Are you able to confirm whether applications get reference numbers, and whether progress can be seen online?

Dear Richard - applications do get reference numbers and if you submitted by post acknowledgements bearing same are issued. What were the title numbers you applied against please?

it turns out that we did receive acknowledgement by email, which went to our spam folder.

The reference numbers were:
HG7EA12
K778HST

We need to sell the property to complete our mother's probate and before it degrades further: (it took us several months to arrange probate and complete the Land Registry paperwork, so we are now more than a year on).  I am quite concerned to get this completed as while we have been waiting unfortunately another of the executors has also died and it is becoming very complicated.  At present we are awaiting the confirmation of change of ownership, which the email suggested was expected to be completed three months ago..

If there's an urgency then you will need to request expedition - Request an expedite - GOV.UK
