Hi, I requested a copy of my deeds and addociated documents a while back. Payment of £33 was taken 26.1.25

I recieved an email Wednesday 5 February saying the applicaiotn had been recieved and would be sent out by 21 May 2026

Surely this cant be correct ?

The reference they gave Z914TST for Title number SF162035

Can you check this for me please. thanks

Hi Andrew - the application you are referring to was to update the actual register re the property address/description. Not to request a copy of the registered information
The acknowledgement provides an estimated date for completion/processing but it's just an indicator and not a definitive timescale. The application will be processed sooner than that - please wait for confirmation once done

Ahh ok, this email didn't say that it was concerning and I had an email telling me that the register had been updated some while back. All I've done since is apply for a copy of the deeds so assumed it was that.

Do you have any idea how long to takes to recieve copies of the deeds ? Thanks

Andrew - you applied for official copies back in January but there was an issue with the cheque provided and the application was rejected. No fee is showing as having been taken as the cheque was 'invalid'.
If you haven't received our reply and/or the cheque was banked then please use the contact form to query and the support team can check and respond again for you - Public guidance: dealing with land and property - GOV.UK
You also applied, form AP1, to update the register re the address but that had already been done earlier in January. I'll advise the casework team that the application can be cancelled and they will write to you to confirm

I didn't expect a reply on a Saturday, thank you.

I am aware that the initial check was not cashed. It had been so many years since I had written a cheque I hadn't realised the cheques were no longer valid.
I recieved an email notifing me of this really quickly with a link to pay online. This was done on 26.1 25 and the £33 fee left my bank on the 27.1.25 I had a reciept saying

Your payment of £33.00 to HM Land Registry Finance payments was successful

HM Land Registry – returned cheques
Reference: 7301257007
Date of payment: 26 January 2025 – 15:40:00

Re the register, I was told I also needed to submit the AP1 which is why I sent it. This is what the email to me said.

Enquiry Reference: 250110-4205602 Application Reference: . Title Number: SF162035

Dear Customer

I can confirm that the issue regarding the location of your property has now been rectified internally and this should reflect in any search,  please submit an AP1 application if you wish the title register information to be updated.

Yours faithfully
