Good morning,
Our conveyancer has submitted to register a least that was assigned a number of years ago, this is to allow a house sale to progress.
it's been a lengthly sale and the buyers are growing impatient, I fear we may loose the sale in the coming weeks due to this.
I have noticed an additional result appear under the property search now however it saysi'this is a new service and information is not available yet' am i to assume this is the title being updated and in progress ?
Or something else maybe ?
I need to keep the buyers updated to keep them committed so am hoping this is to be updated soon so we can proceed.
Property in question is 6 Field close, so16 3dy
Any info would be great as the conveyancers are not returning to work until the 6th Jan
Many thanks,
Lorraine & Andrew

Good Morning - the 'additional result' you refer to relates to a second application submitted by the same conveyancing form. I suspect it's in response to our request for more from them re their original application. We contacted them on the 9th December with a request for more.
I'll flag the lodgement with the casework team and see if someone can provide an update - that may not come through for a few days

Good morning,
Thank you for your response, yes the buyers solicitor originally asked for the old lease reference to be removed from the title but then realised it was unnecessary, he then on the 23rd December requested that we register an old lease that had never been registered before we exchange contracts.
Unfortunately the buyers solicitor doesn't seem to understand how freehold and leasehold works and that we have a title absolute so he has requested multiple things to then change his mind.
He is in the belief that both the leasehold and freehold we own were not in joint names even though we have the paperwork to support this.
thank you for your help

Noted and appreciated but I would strongly recommend that you contact the conveyancer who has applied and ask them to contact us directly. They need to respond to our original and specific request for more information as it seems they've simply lodged something quite different and unexpected in reply.
You clearly have an understanding of why they have done what they have but they need to confirm that direct with us before anything can be unravelled and hopefully processed.

Is there a way I can check progress online for the application to register the old lease to see when its been completed without hassling my conveyancer?
We only have until the 17th Jan to have this done of our buyers are pulling out,
Thank you
