Expedited application update

Hi team,

We are purchasing a property And believe the land registration of this has been expedited. But are finding it hard to get an update on this and an idea of progress or if we are waiting on solicitors or land registry to do the next step.
Are you able to give an update please?

Hi Will - submitted in May 2023 and later expedited as you state. We needed more from the lodging conveyancer and they responded at the end of June. The case is now with a senior technician to decide if their response is sufficient to enable registration to be completed.
Hopefully we will know more shortly - please feel free to post again next week for an update

Hi Adam,
Following up on this as my solicitor is still unable to provide any update other than 'it is stuck with the land registry'. Do you have any idea where things are now, and if there is an estimation of how long this will take to resolve? Appreciate these things can take time, but we wanted to know whether we are talking days to resolve or if this could take 12 months.

Hi Will - it's still with us and needing that senior officer consideration but we also had to retrieve paper files from storage which has delayed matters.
I can't be definitive re timescales still but we're not talking months. Far from it and hopefully we will know more in the coming week.
Feel free to post again and I'm sorry it's not happened as quickly as I had hoped

Hi Adam,
Are you able to provide any update as to how this has progressed in the last week please? Our buyers are starting to get displeased and we are worried they are going to pull out of the purchase.

Hi Will - we contacted the conveyancer for more information on the 30th and they replied quickly. The case is now with a senior officer again for hopefully final consideration of that reply and the submitted paperwork.
So progress but not finalised as yet

Unfortunately the 'lost deeds' element of the application means there are complexities to be ironed out and a higher bar to be reached re title awarded, hence the closer scrutiny by a senior technician

Morning Will - the first registration re DN759975 has been completed this morning and the registered information is now available. I hope your purchase can proceed positively from here
