About to lose our buyer

Our amended title LT551471 application is being held up by an application before ours. This has been expedited and we are about to loose our buyer as waited far too long.

Jeanette - sorry to read that matters have been delayed but we must wait for the prior application against the second title (LT531563) to be completed before the later application affecting that and your own title can be processed.<br> We are waiting for wider checks to complete on LT531563 which relies on their outgoing lender to respond to those checks by 11th March

11 March will be too late. We believe that will be too late to consider.

We are at our wits end with this. As our title could be sorted in minutes. Very unhappy. Is there nothing that can be done. Please please help us.

Jeanette - there is nothing we can do and In would recommend you speak to your conveyancer and the other party involved re your own application. They can contact the outgoing lender to ask them to respond to the wider checks asap. We must wait for them to respond or the time to run out so the ball is very much in their court.

Our conveyancer is doing that but thought you might chase also as 11 March would mean our sale will fall through.

Jeannette - there's nothing for us to chase sadly. We can't start the checks and then hassle recipients. That's not the sender/checker's role I'm afraid

I have another question. Is it possible for our conveyancer on amended LT551471 which we purchased 2 1/2 years ago be processed independently as the title LT531563 holding us up has nothing to do with us?

Jeanette - not possible as the application affecting your title is also submitted against the other title so they are both linked. The delay is with the prior application against just LT531563 and once that's completed the second application, affecting both titles, can proceed
