I have a question about a K22 form. I will give a brief history. We are purchasing a house in Norfolk but the property has no legal access, landlocked, therefors we are purchasing the small piece agricultural land that has the access. This has taken over 12 months due to several legal issues with both. Our main problem at present is the land, which is owned by the cousin of the house owner. We are advised by a third party that the cousin does not really want to sell the land and is only offering to do so to avoid falling out with the cousin and is delaying the sale of the land so we pull out. We are constanlty bombarded with requests to purchase the house and complete the land at a later date, which my conveyancer has advised against as we would have no legal right of access. The land has a restriction that is in the process of being removed. The sellers solicitor has expedited the application.

We were advised by the estate agent that the restriction has now been lifted and to proceed but that they have had to complete a K22 form that will take 5 to 10 days to process. When I phoned my conveyancer he said that nothing had changed and the status is that the Land Registry are waiting for information from the sellers solicitor. When I looked on the Land Registry there does not seem to be a K22 form therefore have you any idea of the progress?

Ed - we are waiting on a form K22 from the conveyancer. They asked for more time on the 9th June and that was duly given
