My mother who is 93 years old, bought her property in 1971 and has never registered her property. Do I need to persuade her to register it? Would it be a problem when me and my family inherit it and we come to sell it if it is not registered?

Paul - there are advantages to registering the property - see PG 1 for guidance https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/first-registrations/practice-guide-1-first-registrations

However there is no need to although if you did inherit and sell a buyer would most likely ask you to register it first before completing. As such applying now might save time and of course if there are any issues re the deeds etc then your Mother is able to assist from her knowledge for example
