Pending application

Hi, 

We are currently purchasing a property but our solicitors seem to have hit a bit of a wall. They are saying there is a pending application on the property which is dated August 2023, however the vendor is saying they don't know what it is. 

The vendor is a company - if that makes any difference - this is not a new build, but the property is only 12 years old (I think) 

Why would there be an application outstanding for so long and why would there be an application that the vendor says they don't know about. 

Is there a way to get more information on this as our offer on the property was accepted in February and we are now in May - we thought we would be moving in the next few weeks but this is really holding things up.

Hi Charlotte - bit an unusual circumstance although I'f expect the vendor's conveyancer to be aware of what the application is. And your own conveyancer too as they would presumably have checked to confirm
What's the title number please and/or property address (plot number also if applicable)?
