Expedited Application Query

Hi,
We are in the process of purchasing a property and a transfer of part needs to take place before exchange. This had been expedited and a requisition raised which I understand the vendor's conveyancer has answered.
I was wondering whether you can provide any update on the application? We need to exchange in order to be able to confirm to the local authority for our childrens' school places, and time is running short before term ends.
Many thanks.

Hi David - that application was cancelled yesterday at the conveyancer's request. Hopefully they can confirm and explain why and how your purchase might now proceed

Hi Adam,
Thanks for the quick reply. I think originally two applications were made as one piece of land was being added to the title and another removed. Only the application relating to removing the land should have been cancelled, the other should be still active?

Hi David - ok so not against the title number you quoted it seems. I've done some wider checks and can see a second EXP application that's still with us. Will see if I can get an update for you

David - appears the solicitor has been chasing progress as well today and the casework team will update me as soon as possible. I'll post again when I have something concrete to share

David - the caseworker has referred it to a senior colleague for a final decision re the mapped extent. So just need that approval hopefully. Please bear with us a little longer - sorry

Thanks for the update. Do you know how long the referrals tend to take?

David - I would hope to have something positive over the weekend but I can't be definitive as reliant on others here

Hi Adam,
Many thanks. Has there been any further news on the possible timescale for this? I am sorry to ask again - we are up an impending deadline for exchange in relation to school places but it cannot happen until this is resolved.
Thanks,
David

Hi David - as before I can't be definitive re timescale other than the casework team are doing all that they can to get it completed asap.
It is not as simple as a flick of the keyboard unfortunately but they are well aware of the urgency
