Expedited Adverse possesion application: update request

Dear Team ,<br> <br> Can you please help.<br> <br> We are in the process of selling our house.<br> As part of the paperwork, my solicitor has submitted an expedited adverse possesion application for a small patch of land ,Registration title : GR82261, adjacent to my garden.&#160;<br> <br> The application was made on the morning of 9th of October 25.<br> <br> Can you please confirm reciept of application and any associated update.<br> <br> Many thanks,<br> Ranjit

Dear Ranjit - received 13th October and expedited on 23rd Oct. Expedition will get it to the processing start line shortly and generally within the next 10 days. All the registration elements then have to be met and passed in order<br> There are then 3 key stages normally<br> 1. Consideration by a senior technician/lawyer as to the legal veracity of the claim and if the submission is all in order. If it is then&#160;<br> 2. A site visit/survey - organised by the applicant and completed by OS. OS report back and again considered by a senior technician/lawyer as appropriate and if all ok<br> 3. Wider checks inc contacting the registered owner and seeking their consent&#160;<br> The process is explained in our PGs 4 and 5 -&#160;<a href="https://www.gov.uk/government/collections/land-registration-practice-guides#guides-1-to-10">Land registration: Practice guides - GOV.UK</a>&#160;<br> As such you may well have to wait a few months before registration can be completed.&#160;<br> Please do speak to your conveyancer for confirmation and clarification re timescales<br> GR82261
