Good afternoon

We had a house purchase agreed in April and only recently discovered it was not registered with the land registry which has now been sorted and apparently it has been expedited. Is there any way of finding out the progress as obviously this is delaying us from our purchase.

Good Afternoon - the conveyancer who applied can track progress for you. If you have the title number/postal address I can check to confirm receipt/progress to some degree

Patricia - many thanks. Submitted 14th May. Expedited and partially processed 19th May. Conveyancer contacted 21st May with a request for more. They responded on 4th and 20th June. Case referred to senior officer on 26th June to consider next steps as appropriate - waiting for that referral to complete
The application is based on the original deeds/documents having been lost
Once the next steps have been confirmed we will have a better idea of timescales remaining
BM480691

Hi Adam
Thank you so much for this. It wasn't until we were getting all legal bits sorted after purchasing that our solicitor discovered the deeds had been lost.
Does this now mean it is in the final process? We are worrying as we have very limited time as our mortgage offer expires beginning October and still have all the legal stuff to sort out too.
I appreciate your help.
Hi Patricia - it could be but that's why it needs to be referred upwards for confirmation as to all ok or more still being needed. Hopefully we will know within days/weeks (at worse)
Feel free to post again at end of week and onwards if necessary and we can check again
BM480691

Patricia - the power of positive thought should not be underestimated. I have asked if it can be escalated so hopefully that might get it moving more swiftly
BM480691

Morning Patricia - the casework team have gone back to the conveyancer to explain what's still required. Hopefully they can do that fairly quickly and the registration can be completed
BM480691

Good Morning Patricia - I do but we don't share such specific details. That's for the conveyancer to do. All I can say is that it's a fairly routine ask
BM480691

That’s no problem, thought I’d ask 🙂

Just didn’t want it to be anything major that could hold things up any further.

MT

tricia

Good afternoon Adam

I have just heard that the vendors solicitors submitted the missing information required to you yesterday.
On average, what are we looking at time wise before registration is completed?

Thank you so much

Tricia

Good Afternoon Patricia - they have replied so that reply goes back to the casework team to review and decide if all now in order and registration can be completed.
There's no average timescale but I'll check with the team for an update as it may need to be referred to a senior officer again and as such we might be looking at Monday as a reasonable date for an update
BM480691
