We are in the process of purchasing Flat 15, Brady House, Worsopp Drive, and need to exchange contracts next week to meet the stamp duty deadline. If we miss this, we won’t be able to proceed with the purchase. Our offer was accepted in September 2024, and as first-time buyers, this delay is extremely concerning.

We’ve just been informed that an application has been submitted to add a loan to the property on the Land Registry. However, both our solicitor and the seller’s solicitor have been unhelpful in providing updates. We need to know whether this application has been expedited, what stage it is currently at and an expected timeline for it to be completed.

The seller’s solicitor only informed us of this issue last week, and we are now at risk of losing both the property and the money we have already invested. Given the urgency, we need immediate clarification on the status of this application if possible please.

Rhosanna - the application was submitted in October 2024 but it hasn't been expedited.
I've flagged it with casework colleagues and they have partially processed it but we need amended paperwork from the conveyancer. They have now been contacted and if they can respond swiftly and fully the registration can hopefully be updated quickly as well

Thank you this was helpful as we had limited information about it. Do you know if they have responded with the amended paperwork yet?
