The title has still not been updated nearly 9 months after completion. Is this normal? How can I check the progress of the application? The conveyancer has confirmed that everything has been completed on their end.

Simion - for some types of application it is 'normal' as we have a backlog of certain types of work. Your conveyancer can confirm the title number, our (ABR) reference and date of submission for you. They can also confirm the estimated completion date.
Provided they have submitted the application then your purchase is protected. It then waits to be processed at our end so there should be nothing to be concerned about and once done your conveyancer will notify you

Hi Adam,
Thank you for your reply.  I have not been provided any ABR number. Is there any way I can check the progress of the application with you, based on the title number?

Hi Simion - if you share the title number I can take a look for you, yes

Hi Simion - so received 19th Feb and waiting to be processed. The application and transfer remain protected and it will be processed asap. However we do have a backlog of this type of work as it includes a 'court order' so needs to be considered/processed by a senior technician
Once processing starts we will contact the conveyancer as appropriate

Hi Adam,

Thank you for your prompt reply. Hopefully, this will be processed soon, as it impacts our plans

Simion - if there's a dependent transaction that can't complete for example then you/the conveyancer can request expedition as appropriate to hasten the process and reduce the remaining wait time

Hi Adam,

Sorry for my late reply.

There is currently no dependent transaction. However this significantly impacts our investment plans. Can you please advise on the remaining waiting time?

Hi Simon - all I can advise is that it's still waiting to be processed but will be asap. If there is a personal impact/hardship involved then I would recommend requesting expedition as mentioned
