Freehold Leashold Merge

My solicitor has submitted a merge of the freehold and leasehold after I purchased the freehold in December. I had sold my house in Nov so everything was being expedited but currently the merge is now delaying the conveyancing progress and the development I am buying from are getting frustrated and talking about the potential of pulling out. I don't have any reference numbers I only have the address: 28 Lily Lane, NG24 2RH. Are you able to provide any information on the status of this request as currently the only update i have is that it is progressing. Thanks, Callum

Callum - they've lodged a single application against the freehold title NT602541. It's not been expedited as yet. Whilst they should request expedition themselves I'll ask the casework team to do so in this instance. Expedition will get the application to the processing start line after which the conveyancer will be contacted as appropriate

Okay many thanks for the information, I was under the impression it was already done so thankyou. Does that mean the 10days will be from today?

Callum - ignore the 10 days as setting a timescale rarely helps and expedition is not a magic wand. Post again next Thurs/Fri for an update and we can check again for you NT602541

Hi, I spoke with my solicitor and she said that the reason this wasn’t expedited was that the applicstion was being looked at already. Are you able to confirm the current status of this application.

Hi Callum - the current status is that the casework team have contacted the conveyancer today to request 'more' information NT602541

My solicitor had said there was a requisition raised of which they have responded are you able to give me an update on this application please?

Callum - request raised 16th Feb. Conveyancer responded yesterday. Case now back with caseworker team to review response and decide if all ok or not. NT602541
