We’re buying a 1930 semi-detached house owned by the current owner since 1938, but we’ve hit a big problem. The house has two titles – a leasehold (only 10 years left) and a freehold, both held by the same owner.

The owner only has a “good leasehold”, not an absolute title, and before that, the house belonged to an agency. There are issues with the deeds(missing) that could affect the purchase.

Anyone with experience in leasehold/freehold issues or tricky property deeds – we’d really appreciate your advice!

Sami - you are very unlikely to get any wider responses on this forum as it is not the same as other online forums where users chip in with experience/guidance
Do rely on your conveyancer/legal rep here to unravel any complexities for you
