Hi there!

I purchased a property (EGL67740) in March 2025 but I have not received the land registry deed yet.

Can you kindly confirm if/when the conveyor submitted the request? The exchange happen more than 6 months ago and I wonder how long does it take for this to be completed and/or this is a case of negligence from my conveyor.

Thanks,
Lucia

Hi

The application in question was submitted by your conveyancer on 17 October 2025 (sometimes there is a delay before an application is submitted to us but we will not know the reason for this) and is awaiting processing. Your application has priority on our system from the date of receipt and provided it is in order it is guaranteed to be completed by registration.

We are experiencing delays in processing some types of application. There has always been a gap between the completion of the transaction, the homeowner taking possession of the property and then the completion of the application for registration with us. The length of the gap is dependent on when the conveyancers submit the application, whether it is in order and our processing times. Our average processing times can be found on our website - https://www.gov.uk/guidance/hm-land-registry-processing-times .

Any delay, shouldn’t create a problem for the average residential buyer as they have taken possession of the property, but fast-track / expedition can be applied for if there is an urgency: Request an expedite - GOV.UK.

I hope this is helpful.
