Interim charging order / assent

We are dealing with a property belonging to a deceased person's estate. The title has an equitable charge created by an interim charging order recorded in the charges register. We have made enquiries to attempt to locate the creditor's successor company(ies) without much success and we have not been able to obtain a discharge to remove the entry. HMLR has advised that one option is to make application to the court to discharge or vary, which the personal representative is not minded to do. The property ultimately is to be assented to the beneficiary of the estate - if we lodge an assent, will the equitable charge prevent that assent being registered? Thank you.
