We have an application pending for Adverse Possession of a parcel of land next to my parent's property that they have had continuous use of for 13+ years. Since the application was submitted to you, my parents have vacated the property. Is it a condition that the property is occupied for the application to be approved and deeds updated? And if yes, do the owners have to be living in the property or can it be a family member living there?

Catherine - no, that's not a condition
See the relevant PG 4 or 5 for guidance on the 'essentials' - Land registration: Practice guides - GOV.UK
Land registration is complex, designed to protect legal and financial interests in property. There can be significant consequences for any error. Please consider seeking legal representation. Before making an application without legal representation, It is important to consider the benefits of using a conveyancer.
