How do I check on status of an Adverse Possession claim please?

Steph - you can use our online contact form, ask the conveyancer who submitted it or post the title number here and I can give you a general update

Steph - many thanks. The application is against the neighbouring title as a claim as to already registered land. It was submitted on 9th June and is awaiting processing. That's not going to start for several months. If there's an urgency such as an onward sale/remortgage or some sort of hardship a request to expedite it can be made - https://www.gov.uk/guidance/request-an-expedite

I should stress that even if expedition is approved processing will still take some time to complete as there are a number of key stages to pass, namely consideration as to whether the claim is legal (3-4 weeks); a site visit/survey (2 weeks); and wider checks notably contacting the registered owner to see if they object or consent to the application (65 days). The first two timescales are based on average wait times but as a whole even with expedition the wait time is likely to be at least 5-6 months unless the stages are completed sooner for any reason(s)
