Title change check

Hi, I purchased a house in November 23 and the SRA closed down the solicitors I was using just as completion happened.

It turns out that they never submitted the application so we still don't own the house.

Our new solicitor says that the application was completed and submitted in May and I was just wanting to check it had been received and is in progress.

It's now been 18 months not owning it and I'm a little concerned about what would be the upshot if something were to happen to the previous owner in the interim.

Title number is SF366170.

Hi Claire - the application was submitted on 8th May. Your purchase/ownership is protected from that date so whilst I fully appreciate the concerns you have there is no need to worry now that we have the application and it's waiting to be processed. Your ownership is protected
