Title change check

Hi, I purchased a house in November 23 and the SRA closed down the solicitors I was using just as completion happened.<br> <br> It turns out that they never submitted the application so we still don't own the house.<br> <br> Our new solicitor says that the application was completed and submitted in May and I was just wanting to check it had been received and is in progress.<br> <br> It's now been 18 months not owning it and I'm a little concerned about what would be the upshot if something were to happen to the previous owner in the interim.<br> <br> Title number is&#160;SF366170.<br> <br> Thanks<br> <br> Claire

Hi Claire - the application was submitted on 8th May. Your purchase/ownership is protected from that date so whilst I fully appreciate the concerns you have there is no need to worry now that we have the application and it's waiting to be processed. Your ownership is protected<br> SF366170
