Hello, I hope you don’t mind me contacting. I just wanted to check status of an expedited application. I was told last week it had been passed onto a lawyer. Chain is at risk so any info would be appreciated. Thank you!

Hello. Our lawyer has given a reply today, but based on that we have needed to raise a further query by email with the conveyancer acting. Once they respond, we will give it further consideration.

Hiya, thank you for your swift response. Can this still be settled within the 10 day expedited period? Just conscious our sale is at risk

You're welcome. The 10 period is subject to any information requests we need to raise and any other matters which are outside of our control. At the moment, we are dependent on the conveyancer acting to come back to us with a resolution to our information request and then it'll be considered further.

Thank you, I appreciate the info. Is it just one query they have raised? I’ll chase my solicitor tomorrow

Yes, but we can't rule out a further query depending on the response from the conveyancer.

Thanks again, really appreciate it. Hopefully I’ll hear more tomorrow and be back in touch when I find out more.

Good morning, can I ask what it is specifically that they have asked for? My solicitor can chase once they have the info . Thank you

Good Morning Em - they'll need to ask the conveyancer to confirm what's been requested. We don't share such details with third parties. Your own conveyancer can chase them and don't need to know but if they want more details then they can ask the conveyancer to clarify

Very sorry to chase again. I just know there has been chat between solicitors with new info and I’m hoping they’ve sent something through. If not I’ll try and find out more tomorrow. Just a little anxious as this is preventing exchange

Em - they have replied again so that will go to one of our lawyers to review. I'll update again when I have something more to share

Thanks so much Adam for the update. I don’t know if there’s any chance of letting them know the urgency. I’m sure this is the same for everyone on this forum. We’re just very nervous and in a very short time frame to get this over the line as the chain is at risk. Thank you

Em - they are aware of the urgency. As you state it can be the same for a lot of people on the forum and through our wider contact channels as well

Sorry Adam, you’re going to be sick of me. Just checking if there’s been any progress. Thank you

Em - no need to apologise as do appreciate how stressful such matters can be
I don't have an update to share at present but as soon as I do I will post here. I am in contact with the casework team and our lawyers and they are aware of the urgency you have shared
If you find it too difficult to wait then feel free to post but I may not respond immediately whilst I have nothing 'new' to share
