Application to remove a charge from property

Hi&#160;<br> My ex husband is remortgaging to buy me out of our jointly owned property. His solicitors found there was an old debt on the property in my name, I paid this off at the beginning of February with Restons solicitors who wrote to me to say an application would be made with yourselves to remove the charge. My ex husbands solicitors have come back this week to say it still hasn’t been removed, and that Restons have agreed to expedite it. I wondered if I could get any information on what if any application has actually been made by them and how long this will likely take as it is holding up his mortgage completion. Many thanks&#160;

Hi Nadine - if it's been expedited then it should be processed within 10 days. Everything then hinges on it being in order and the type of charge being removed doesn't warrant wider checks.&nbsp;<br> If you can share the specific details I can check to confirm receipt and progress?

Thanks for the reply the address is 174 Thomas Street, Abertridwr, Caerphilly CF83 4BB. The debt is in my maiden name Nadine Powell and I believe is in the name of Cabot Financial/ME III for Argos card services&#160;
