Application update

Hi I am the potential buyer of the property below Flat 5, The Birches, 7 Durham Road, Bromley and garage (BR2 0TA) I had my offer for the property accepted but during the valuation, the remaining lease came back as 84 years instead of the advertised 173 years I have asked the vendor to request an expedition (about 3 months ago) and I am still waiting The communication through the estate agency is not great and I am still not sure whether: - he submitted the lease extension in the first place (according to a copy of the lease extension he sent me, it was signed on 01/08/25) - he has already applied for an expedition - anything problematic came up while you were processing the initial or the expedited application Could you please provide an update as this is holding back the entire process? Hi Eleftherios - the application was submitted in August and expedited as you state. Processing has started but we needed more from the conveyancer.
They appear to have partially responded at the start of February but we await more from them
I would recommend asking your conveyancer to chase the seller's own conveyancer to confirm and to clarify when they hope to respond in full. The estate agent won't really be involved in such matters
