Application for Adverse Possession

Good evening. Our conveyancer has submitted an application on our behalf for the property below. We were informed we would need to receive confirmation of receipt prior to asking for it to be expedited, it is holding up the transaction of a house sale.

Is it usual for an application to take this long to be noted as received? It was posted on the 29th/30th May

Fiona - my experience of the post nowadays is that is where the delay lies so a lengthy wait is not unusual 
Can you perhaps check that the application is against that title? If it's an claim as to adverse possession I assume it's you who are claiming land that's in another title, not your own.

Our solicitor sent off the application as upon selling our property (below) it appears the side path is not on our deeds. It isn’t registered to any other neighbouring property either. Therefore it’s an unregistered application. We have lived at the property for 15 years and never had any issues using the path, it goes to our garden only and isn’t used by anyone else.
It would seem when our cottage became 1 from 2 46 years ago the side path was not transferred.

Fiona - ok am guessing that path is between Number 21 and Hafod and nothing as yet showing as received against that unregistered parcel of land. So will have to see if it appears in the next few days

Sorry to bother you, we wondered if anything was showing as received yet in regards to the above? 
Our solicitor has also commented it’s odd to have not been given a case no/reference for the application posted 2 weeks ago.

Morning Fiona - nothing showing as yet. It is 'odd' but worth asking them to check if the registration fee has been taken as yet - that's usually a positive time of receipt
