Update on adverse possession (expedited)

Could I get an update on the expedition status of an adverse possession application currently holding our chain up please?

Hi Xavier - expedited on 30th October but processing has yet to start. That should hopefully be in the coming days and then everything hinges on it being in order of course
I would make a note to check again either on Friday or Monday

Thank you for confirming the expedition status. Do you have an update on whether the processing has now started?

Hi Xavier - looks like we are waiting for a report from Ordnance Survey. The nature of the application requires a site visit/survey by OS and that was being arranged on 30th Oct. I would assume it's been done this week but as yet their report is not with us. 
So still some time to go yet before we have a better idea re timescales

Hi Adam - I understand the OS visit was completed this week and should now be with the LR. Could you please confirm if it has been received and advise on the next steps? Many thanks.

Hi Xavier - report received yesterday so the case plus OS report go back to the casework team to review and decide on next steps. I suspect we will go back to the applicant to confirm matters before serving notices (wider checks) on any neighbouring/affected titles.

Hi Xavier, A correspondance was issued on 18 November 2024 to the applicant and upon reply we would then begin serving notice.

Hi Darren - thank you again for the timely update. I understand the applicant has responded and notice has been given. Are you able to confirm start and end dates of the notice please? Many thanks

Hi Xavier - I'll check with the casework team as whilst the conveyancer has replied I dpn;t think the noticies have as yet been issued.

Hi Xavier - the application is on referral to a senior officer re next steps/wider checks. And I suspect there will be a need for notices to be served so still a way to go before it can be completed.

Hi Xavier - I have responded to your query in the absence of my colleague. 

I am told we will have to issue notices and that should happen some time today.
