First Registration - Lost Deeds

Good afternoon,

Hope you're well and hoping you can assist...

We are in the process of buying a property which we recently found out is not registered and the deeds have been lost. The seller's solicitor confirmed last week they sent the application for first registration via post and I understand they have expedited it due to the property being sold.

Are you able to advise on the current status of this application please?

Any insight would be most welcome as the registration is holding up the whole chain on waiting to complete

Good Afternoon Andrew - received 18th March and expedited on the 19th. Expedition means that it will be processed as soon as possible and generally the processing starts within a matter of days. 
Everything then hinges on it all being in order and nothing 'more' is needed. By 'more' I mean either more from the applicant and for example a site visit/survey
There's very rarely an instant 'fix' re such applications due to their very nature so you will have to wait a few days at least before the conveyancer/seller have a better idea re timescales and 'more'
