Hi, I submitted a COG1 form about a month ago, to change my contact details on a property. My questions are:
- how long does it usually take to process the change?
- how will I know the change has been completed?
- it was stated on the form that a letter would be sent to the old registered address, for fraud prevention. Will I need access to this letter? As I cannot currently access the property at the old address.

Hi Robert - wait times can be lengthy but once processing starts/is completed the casework team will contact you
You don't need to access the letter

Hi Adam, it's been 6 months since I sent a COG1 form and I realise I have not been contacted by the Land Registry about its completion. Is there a way to check its status please?

Thanks Adam - is there any indication how long this may take? I was given the impression that this usually takes a few weeks, apologies but 6 months is a very long time to process a form so it would seem to me it has been lost or stuck in a process.

Robert - it’s not lost or stuck but simply waiting to be processed. There’s no definitive timescale to share as it can vary but the casework team will be in touch once processing starts
