Deed of Variation Awaiting Registration - Freehold Ground Rent Charge

Hi there,

We are 16 weeks into a no chain purchase of a freehold and vacant property as first time buyers.

We are awaiting registration with HMLR for a Deed of Variation regarding the annual ground rent charge to a management company, changing the terms to a 2mo notice period for our lender. I believe the DOV was drafted on 19th March and submitted for registration soon after then - we have not been given specific dates. 

Please could you advise on where we are for this Deed of Variation to be registered and completed. This is all that we are waiting for to exchange and complete. We have been chasing our conveyancer and the part-exchange company (acting on behalf of the sellers') as much as is appropriate, but we are yet to have a response.

Could I double check this is the Deed of Variation application you are referring to? As the property has very recently had the title deeds updated with HMLR in the current sellers’ name.
