Hi,

I’m involved in a house buyers chain that is awaiting the resolution of an adverse possession claim. This has been expedited and has had a bit of back and forth over the original application but the last communication from Land Registry was over two weeks ago. Would you be able to provide an update on what’s going on with our case?

Reference Number: NV/S551/14569-Gardner

Title number: NT598253

Your reference: EC920ED

Thanks,
Amy

Hi Amy - the last communication was on 22nd July with the conveyancer and we await their response.
The case is also on referral to one of our lawyers to confirm next steps
This other thread explains what 'next steps' and timescales could be involved - Adverse Possession - Claimed Land - Impact on Timescales · HM Land Registry
NT598253

Thank you for the quick response and apologies for the confusion. The conveyancer hadn’t informed us of the latest update.

They have now let us know they have responded to your query from 22nd July and the ball is in your court again.

Kind regards,
Amy

Hello Amy - not as yet and still on referral. I suspect it's already been escalated as others are chasing but will ensure it has been
NT598253

Hi Adam, is there any update this week?

The chain has fallen apart now as someone has withdrawn due to the lack of progress and clear timeline on this...so I’m asking in a last hope that you’ll have some news or an idea of timeline that might persuade the party that’s withdrawn back to the table.

Thanks,
Amy

Hi Amy - I'm sorry to read that the chain has broken.
A survey is needed and the owners have been contacted to ask them to arrange a site visit by Ordnance Survey. They should get the letters requesting them to take next steps in the next few days
NT598253
