Hello
We have a charge on our property and the debt is now paid. We have a letter from the Court confirming this.
What forms do I need to submit to Land Registry to enable me to do remove the charge. It is very confusing...
Any help will be most grateful
Thanks

Hello James - what's the title number, type of charge and is it a letter or an actual court order you have?

Hi Adam
Thanks for your help.
It is a letter from the Claimants Solicitors - sorry not the Court (the debt was settled in 2013 but we forgot to request that it be taken off the property, illness being a factor).
The letter states that the debt is paid in full and it says that the letter will be sufficient evidence for HMCTS. The Court is Harrogate County Court and I have the Reference if needed.
The Title Number is WYK169107
We originally used Form N443 but never filled it in

Hi James - many thanks. Those details re letter and form are for the court if you were to for example apply to then to dismiss the order so not something we can advise you on
The charging order is registered as a form K restriction on the title as it was against one of you and the property is jointly owned.
If you are now trying to apply to cancel the form K restriction then you would need to apply by post using form RX3 and submit supporting evidence to show that the debt has been paid off/discharged or dismissed by the court.

Brilliant - thanks so much for this. Not being a legal person I find the whole thing a nightmare - thanks very much for clearing this up for me :)
