Name on deed mistake

Just wondering if you can help me please? 
We are waiting to complete on a property we are buying, the seller had some issues with around names on the deeds. They applied to expedite a name change before Christmas and I’m just wanting to see if there’s any update. 
Our first mortgage offer has already ran out and we have had to apply for a new one. This issue is the only thing stopping completion. Please can you help with how far along it is in the process? The address for the property is CH61 8SF- 104

Caitlin - if that's the right address then I'm sorry to say we don't have an application or enquiry pending re a correction of a name on the register.
We've had nothing since 2016 when the register was last updated

Yes Number 104 Ridgewood Drive, the seller’s solicitors have emailed ours saying the application had been expedited? 

Would a change like this take 10 working days or longer once application is in?

Caitlin - ok but we have no application so nothing to be expedited. If they have submitted an application then suggest you ask them to confirm the title number and our case (ABR) reference 
Expedition gets the case to the processing start line quicker, generally within the 10 days quoted. Everything then hinges on it being in order. 
However if it's a request to amend a name then it may not be an application as such but a request so those can be escalated (not expedited) - either way everything still hinges on the update/amend being able to be made.
And like I posted until we have an application/request we can't do anything so hopefully they can confirm the details for you
