Hi Adam, I’ve not managed to get through on the phone to get an update. Wondered if you could please advise whether the solictor’s response moved the case on or not? And whether the new current status of the case is indicative of how close things are to being resolved? Thanks

Hi Lara - the application against SY898808 has been cancelled so the casework team can refocus on the application, SY910167. I'll post again once I know more about next steps on that specific case

Great news! Thank you Adam much appreciated. To confirm, does that mean my application is due to be looked at next or are there still other prior applications pending?

Lara - SY910167 will be looked at next. I just need to see who by so I can start asking them for an update

Good morning Adam, appreciate your endeavours so far, just checking in here for a status update on application SY910167 so that I can see how close we are to completing this in order to progress with my remortgage. Many thanks

Good Afternoon Lara - I'm afraid issues remain re our being able to complete your specific registration. This is due to the nature of the application which includes a request to register two deeds of easement (grant) which affect adjoining titles. The casework team will be contacting the conveyancer shortly to explain the issues and to explain the delay as well as possible options to move matters forward. Please allow time for your conveyancer to receive that contact before contacting them to discuss the specifics and next steps. I cannot share such specific details here and would ask you to rely on your own conveyancer to provide such information and advice as appropriate once they have received the request SY910167

Ok thanks Adam I will wait until they have contacted the conveyancer…to confirm, this will be SBP Law? I understand you can’t share specific details here, but you can confirm that there will be viable options available to move the case forward? I am worried about entering into another situation where the case becomes stuck. And in terms of the delay, do you have any indication of a timeframe I can typically expect to wait for the resolution of a case like this?

Lara - correct and the missive has been issued. All options are viable but the decision will be your conveyancer's. If they reject the suggestion then matters will be delayed further and potentially for some time. You must rely on your conveyancer here

Thanks for confirming, I will contact the conveyancer once they have had a chance to receive the correspondence. If an option suggested by Land Registry is taken by the conveyancer to move matters forward, will this then likely be a straightforward / relatively quick route to completion?

Lara - in my experience, yes. But it's the conveyancer's initial call and it's your legal reps and lender(s) you need to rely on here
