I hope I can find someone who can help us. We own a freehold two bedroom coach house which is registered with the Land Registry. The two bed coach house comes with a double garage underneath the property (same building), which is leased to us by Taylor Wimpey for 999 years. We are in the final stages of selling the property and we are one month before completion, when our buyer’s solicitors replied that they couldn’t find the registration number for the garage in the Land Registry. We have contacted the developer (the owner of the garage), which is Taylor Wimpey, and they said they had made the application a few years ago. We don’t know what happened to the application and if there was even a need to register the garage. Our solicitors called for an expedited process regarding the application to the Land Registry but they aren’t sure if it will be approved. We don’t want to lose our buyer and the sale with delays etc., can you please help?
The title number of our property is
SYK674707.
Within our contract for the purchase of this property we have a Land Registry document stating the title number of the property and general info, and it mentions a leasehold garage.
