Progress on TR1

Could you please give me an update on the transfer of deeds between myself Michael David Fowler and my father Mr David John Fowler please

Received 6th November and waiting to be processed. That's unlikely to be for several weeks/few months yet but the application/transfer is protected
If there is an urgency involved then you can request expedition as appropriate - Request an expedite - GOV.UK

Thank you for replying when you say that the transfer is protected does this mean I am now the legal owner of my fathers half of the property now as I need to get a mortgage sorted to complete repairs on the house

Julie - that means that the application/ownership are protected so for example if your lender applied for an official search to check and confirm what's happening then the result would confirm that we had the application/transfer you refer to.
The key here is whether the lender then insists that they wait for the application to be processed before they will actually complete on the loan. If they won't then that's when you request expedition
I would suggest starting the process of getting a mortgage and once underway request expedition as appropriate
