Hello,

I purchased a property (HD201638) and completed on 16 May 2025.
Unfortunately I received an email saying that my solicitor has closed in August
by the Solicitors Regulation Authority  and my solicitor are not reachable anymore.

My solicitor had not updated me after completion with the land registry application status before closing.

Can you kindly confirm if/when the conveyor submitted the request?

Can you also let me know the status of the application?

I am reluctant to buy the services of a new solicitor, as the application should already have been made with all required inputs.

Can you confirm that I can just wait for the processing delay and do not require a new solicitor? 

How can I follow up directly the status of this application and get access to the application ID and see any potential request from Land Registry for missing or incomplete input?

Hello Guillaume -  The application is currently awaiting to be looked due to the delays that we have - HM Land Registry: processing times - GOV.UK.

I would suggest that you use the contact form on our website to inform about your decision to deal with the matters yourself so that if there are any queries on the application then we contact you.  You can find the contact form using the link attached - Public guidance: dealing with land and property - GOV.UK

Please quote the title number and the application reference U823PWT.
