We have sold my partners flat and are unable to proceed with the sale and legals until we receive the title documents. The flat was purchased as a new build in 2022. The conveyancing solicitors failed to respond to requisitions raised in July 2025 and so the application was cancelled and resubmitted in August 2025. This was expedited in early March 2026 but we have seen no movement and it is putting the sale of the flat at risk. Please can this be escalated? Application reference: MI15142

Hi Adam - assume you're still awaiting more information from the casework team? From speaking with the conveyancing solicitors they have advised that it is 3 outstanding applications that sit with Devonshires which are delaying the chain of applications moving. I understand requisitions were raised on these 3 (application ref MI0D826, MI0D825 and MI0D6B2) in October last year with a cancellation warning issued in December. Is there any way this can be escalated please as it doesn't seem reasonable for these to not have been cancelled after c. 7 months given my partners was application was cancelled after 2 months? Thanks Anna MI15142

Hi Anna - I have responded to your further post in the absence of my colleague. I have contacted the processing team leads for an update and clarification and stressed for a quick response. I will update you as soon as I hear from them.

Hi Anna - I now have some update. I am not sure where you got the three application references which are supposed to be delaying MI15142. That is not correct. The application that you are interested is held up due to a prior application affecting the whole of the landlord's title. We have raised a requisition and that has been followed up. The application relates to utilities serving the development so cancelling it would not be anyone's benefit. We have, however, got MI15142 allocated to one of our caseworkers so that we can start the processing, including considering if there are any queries that need to be resolved first. I hope this helps.

Hi Adam Is there any update you can give please. I understand there are prior applications which are holding mine up, but do you know how many/if there is anything specific? Thanks Anna

Hi Anna - there are multiple applications ahead of your own against the developer's title and which have 'priority'. However it is one in particular, M995PVT, which must be completed re a Deed of Easement in favour of Anglian Water. The casework team are in contact with the company to try and resolve matters re their own application and if they can do that then they are hopeful of being able to process your own application out of priority order. Hi Adam - from speaking with solicitors, I understand Anglian Water have responded to the requisition raised. Is there anything further required to complete application M995PVT? Many thanks Anna

Hi Anna - we received a reply this afternoon so that goes to the casework team to consider as appropriate. If 'more' is still needed they will decide. I'll post again when I have something worth sharing MI15142
