Hi All,

I was told last month that land registry were waiting for some more information from my solicitors before being able to complete this application.

I have been unable to get any answer from them, would the land registry side be able to give me an update if possible?

Thank you.

Jonny Peacock

Hi Adam,

I have spoken to my solicitors who have said they will look into this, which was a week or so ago.

Have they actually done anything in that time or are you still waiting on them to reply back to you?

Thank you

Hi Jonny - they replied on the 26th August but that was insufficient. The casework team went back on 30th August to explain what the issue was again/still and we await their response
NK534367

Hi Jonathan - they have replied at the end of September and their reply is back with one of our lawyers to consider next steps. I'll check and share an update as appropriate once I have one
NK534367

Hi Jonathan - the response this time was very much the same as previously so the lawyer has gone back to explain why it is still insufficient and what's still required. You'll need to press the conveyancer to provide their own specific explanation
NK534367

Hi Adam,

I went back to my solicitor off the back of your last post, threatened legal ombudsman action and gave them 8 weeks to provide me with an answer which is ending on the 24th December.

Have they offered anything to you at all within this time period to help get this sorted?

Thank you.

Hi Jonathan - they have not and the application to register your new lease was cancelled on 12th January and the conveyancer informed NK534367 I'd recommend escalating the matter with the conveyancer to confirm and to clarify when they expect to submit a fresh application

Thanks Adam, I'll try and contact them. Out of curiosity, if worse comes to worst is this something I can look at apply for myself? and raising my own application etc.

Jonathan - whilst you can submit your own application I would always recommend against doing so simply because the unfamiliar process and more can appear very complex if it's not your 'day-job'. And in this case you have the added complexity of needing to deal with third parties to secure the appropriate consents/agreements which is where the bulk of the issues have arisen it seems

Hi Adam, Are you able to see if a new application has been raised for me at all? I receive absolutely no communication from my conveyancer. Thanks

Hi Jonathan - nothing submitted as yet. I would suggest escalating it through the firm's complaints process for example
