AP1 and COG1 form

Hi,

We need to update our contact address on a number of property titles and then transfer my husbands 50% share in one of the properties to me. I have completed form COG1 to update the addresses and I am in the process of completing TR1 and AP1 to arrange the transfer but I'm not sure if I can include the COG1 form with the application and add it as the first application in section 4?

Also, as the total property value we want to change the title for is £138,000 am I right in assuming the fee is £45, which is for my husbands share (£70,000) and that is what should be shown in section 4?

Hi Debbie - COG1 is a standalone application. You should use forms AP1/TR1 to ensure that the specific property/title involved then refers to the correct contact address(es) as appropriate
Panel 4 of form AP1 should state "Full market value £138K" for example and then insert the correct Scale 2 fee for 'half' that around so £45 as you state

Thanks for the quick response.. So should I remove the property involved in the transfer of title from the COG1 form,and just put the correct contact address on the TR1 form? Or do I have to fill in a separate form to change the contact address before we transfer title?

Hi Debbie - I would do it that way to avoid any duplicity or uncertainty. The form AP1/TR1 stands alone and the COG1 will do likewise and go through a separate process

Section 6 - Should this just show my husbands name (transferor) or do I need to add mine as well as the transferee?

Section 9. Do I just add my name in that section as the transferee or do I need to include my husband as well?

Debbie - Form AP1 guidance
Panel 6 is for the applicant so the names of the transferee(s) as appropriate. The names of those to appear on the updated register
Panel 9 - the contact details for the transferees
