I am buying my brothers share of our deceased mother’s property. I am paying him £44000, as he is taking the bank assets of £94000 and house is valued at £180,000. What will the fee be on AP1 form? I’m aware of stamp duty and TR1, ID1 forms. I just can’t find info on fees for transfer. Thanks

Kathryn - if the consideration is £44K you pay a scale 1 fee on that amount

Adam, I know that I have to pay stamp duty on 50% of the house value. Does this make any difference

Kathryn - stamp duty is a very separate thing and has no impact on the registration fee
