ERRORS IN COLLECTING FEES

I’ve noticed a recent increase in errors on HMLR’s part re collection of scale fees. These include collecting the same fee twice, or not collecting a fee at all although registration was concluded months ago, or- last week- collecting a £625 fee where the application form showed the correct sum of £90; there are in fact no scale fee applications fior which a £625 fee would be correct. What on earth is going wrong at HMLR nowadays?
