<p>The fees guidance page is a minefield.I've paid off my mortgage and now need to request my deeds. My property was purchased £281,000.

What are the fees to request official copies of my title register? The Get information about property and land webpage states that deeds CAN be made up of several documents, each document costs £11.

How am I expected to know how many documents it's made up of? I may as well be plucking a number out of thin air... this process doesn't make sense to me. While I know exact guidance cannot be provided without sharing my address, I'm still keen to understand the general guidance for my above question.

M K - I'm sorry the guidance has proven to be a minefield for you
The register and title plan are the 'title deeds' for a registered property. An official copy of each would be £11 each
If a register then refers to deeds/documents as being 'filed' then these can be applied for by post. Again £11 each but not all registers refer to such 'filed' deeds/documents
Have a read of our blog article which will hopefully explain matters for you in the wider context of having paid off you mortgage and what options are available - Where are my title deeds, and do I need them? – HM Land Registry
