Hi,

I wish to submit an application to register an agreed notice using form AN1. I understand this attracts a fixed fee of £40 for up to three titles, as I am applying as a private individual with no access to the Portal or Business Gateway.

The relevant table cell in the list of fees states: "Note: no fee is payable if, for each registered title affected, the application is accompanied by a scale fee application or another application attracting a fee under this paragraph"

Could you please clarify the scope of “another application attracting a fee under this paragraph” i.e. does this refer only to the other items listed in the same table cell? Or does it more broadly include any other application that attracts a fixed fee, on the basis that all fixed-fee applications are listed under the same paragraph heading “Applications with a fixed fee”?

By way of example: if I were to submit both an agreed notice application (Form AN1) and an application to upgrade the title from possessory to absolute (Form UT1) for the same title at the same time, would the total fee payable be £40 or £80?

Thanks

Hi Jay - it means any other application that attracts a Scale fee. That doesn't for example mean another 'fixed scale' fee
In oyur example the fee would be £80 as two fixed fees
