Change of name on title register

Hi there,<br> <br> We need to change my wife's name to her married name on the title register. It says online this can take up to six months, which is fine, but it also says I need to send an original copy of the marriage certificate, and we can't afford to lose that for six months as we need it to change her name on other things too. Please can you advise the best way to apply and how long you will keep our marriage certificate for?<br> <br> Thanks very much,<br> Matt
